Volunteer 

Assistant Directors

 Attend rehearsals, Production Team Meetings, assist artistic director as needed, and assist in building the shows and community action projects.

  • Dates: Duration of program, click here to see program dates.
  • Commitment: 3 to 7 hours per days, depending on program

Acting Coaches

Assist our young people build the show through improvisational scene building.

  • Dates: Late-January to Mid-May or June to December
  • Commitment: 3 to 7 hours per days, depending on program

Friendly Adult Presences

Attend rehearsals and assist as needed, act as “gatekeeper” for the rehearsal room, run errands, and act as a “friendly adult presence” in the room.

  • Dates: Throughout the year, Weekday afternoons & Saturdays
  • Commitment: 3 to 7 hours per days, depending on schedule, as often as you’d like.

Premiere Performance Help

Help out at the theater during show week.  Activities include setting up the lobby, greeting and ushering guests to their seats, and assisting with ticketing.

  • Dates: Mid-April, Late-May, Late-September, Early-December
  • Commitment: 5 hours per day, 1-5 days (can do one, some, or all days)

Filming

Document Community Action events and/or film performances, equipment not provided, but office space to edit is available.

  • Dates: Mid-April, Late-May, Late-September, Early-December
  • Commitment: 3 hours per event, plus editing

College Prep (Academic and/or Theatrical)

Work one-on-one with our youth to navigate college application process, review essays, search for scholarships, submit financial aid, etc. If applicable, search for monologues, help rehearse, etc.

  • Dates: Throughout the year, after school hours
  • Commitment: 2 hours per session

I.T. Assistance

Help our staff with computer issues and answer questions on technical things.

  • Dates: Throughout the year as needed
  • Commitment: 5 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the issue

Work With Us 

Teaches basic dance skills to large groups of teenagers and creates choreography for original musicals. Must be comfortable teaching a variety of dance styles.

Monitor and report on all ticket sales leading up to and during performances, organize volunteers, maintain lobby signage, oversee late seating, oversee will-call. 

Commitment: 1 week | Mon-Wed 11am-10pm | Thu-Sat 4pm-9:30pm
