About the Show: Angela has been in the hospital for a month, waiting to get out. When she learns that she will leave in a week, she is forced to look at life outside the world that she has created for herself in isolation. What does it mean to really live? How, and why, do we connect with anyone? What does it mean to have someone’s back? Where, and how, do you find the courage to go on? And is it even worth it? With help of a friend, her eyes are opened to the beauty and chaos of the world around her where love, violence, belonging, insecurities, betrayal and friendship are everywhere and everything.

About the Show: Damian and Felicity, boyfriend and girlfriend, are young poets on a quest to write honestly about love. Their journey takes them back to their neighborhood to observe life and find love’s true meaning. They witness the heartache, abandonment, violence, despair, and hope that young people confront every day. As they uncover the realities of love and life, the answers they find threaten to drive them apart. Can they discover a new understanding of love amidst the hustle and bustle of their city? What does it mean for them and for the future? Will they succeed in their quest?
“The Writers’ Block” is presented by The Possibility Project’s
2011-12 Saturday Cast and is made possible in part by:
