“Know How” wins “Social Good Award”

Our film KNOW HOW—written and acted by youth in our Foster Care Program—won an award for its collaboration with Participant Media for Branded Campaign for a TV Special Programming at the Cynopsis Media Social Good Awards on April 7, 2016.

With a goal of raising foster care youths’ voices for change, the Know How campaign launched in May 2015 to coincide with National Foster Care Month. Its content reached more than 1 million people, affected legislative change in California, collected more than 21,000 signatures on dedicated foster care petitions and pledges, and garnered almost 19,000 visits to a Know How foster care editorial series on TakePart.com.

KNOW HOW is now available on iTunes, Netflix, and Amazon.
