Each Possibility Project creative process and theatrical production requires a diverse and talented team of professional artists and technical theater specialists to succeed.
Musical Directors
Jamie Cowperthwait – Saturday Program
Jamie Cowperthwait is a composer and playwright working in theater, television, and film. In May 2011, he graduated from Tisch’s Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program where he co-wrote the twenty-minute King Gilbert, the full-length Huntington, and the full-length The Music of Erich Zann. He also wrote a ten-minute musical called Exit Row that was performed as part of the 2010 Pace University Director’s Festival. He has written or co-written the scores to a number of short films including, “Lately There Have Been Many Misunderstandings,” “Comfort Zone,” and “True Yarn.” Recently, he wrote the theme song for the popular web series Awkward Family Photos. When not writing for theater and film, he writes music and lyrics for commercial clients, including Coca Cola, Sears, Netflix, the state of California, and others. In 2011-12, he was the Musical Theater Resident at Playwrights Horizons in New York City. He lives in Ridgewood, Queens and thoroughly enjoys working with The Possibility Project! Nate Weida – Foster Care Program
Nate Weida is a composer and writer living in Hell’s Kitchen. He has written 8 musicals and currently plays in a bluegrass band called “Great Dog Almighty” and is writing an epic poem called I’s Twinkle. He plays piano, flute, banjo, didgeridoo, and sings. This is his first year working with The Possibility Project.

Choreographers
Maiysha Cade – Foster Care Program
Maiysha Cade, a Boston native, is a dance teacher and choreographer with various New York youth organizations such as Wingspan Arts and SOCAPA. She is a professional dancer represented by the BLOC Dance Agency, and has performed commercially for NIKE, MTV, LG Electronics, and Ryan Leslie. For several years Maiy was a dancer for Radio Disney Boston and a dancer for the NBAs Boston Celtics. Maiysha attended The Boston Ballet School for Performing Arts, and was spent time as a member of the hip hop dance company, Phunk Phenomenon. Maiy joined The Possibility Project in March 2010.

Marguerite Hemmings – Saturday Program
Marguerite Hemmings was born in Jamaica and raised in New Jersey. She currently works as a choreographer, dancer, and teacher in NY and its surrounding areas specializing in hip hop and new school dancehall/reggae with elements of modern and West African. Marguerite’s style tries to capture the dynamics and essence of improvisation through choreography. Her recent projects include a choreographed solo I’m Not the Only One performed in September 2010 in Montreal for an artist’s album release; Lemme Talk To You performed at Harlem Stage’s E-Moves April 2010; a solo Don’t Explain in a theater production of “For Colored Girls…” in April 2010, Bam Bam, showcased at the January 2010 Highline Ballroom, Sybarite Love is Love Showcase; and What is Love., showcased at the April 2009 DTW RAW DanceFest studio showing. Marguerite joined The Possibility Project in February 2011.

Rozz Nash – After School Program
Rozz Nash (a San Francisco native) has been in the NYC mix for over a decade and continues to churn out innovative and exciting work in the realms of the performing arts, education, and activism. She has been a musician for over 13 years touring the world with bands such as Groove Collective, DJ Towatei, and her own band Red Lotus which recently completed a 30-city European tour. Over the years she has appeared in various commercials, radio spots, and major print ad campaigns. Rozz also co-founded WERISE, a women’s artist organization that empowers women to take charge of their artistic careers and to develop their business acumen. Her latest non-profit venture is a political organization based in New York called the NYC Lucy Stoners, which was created to encourage single women ages 18-35 to get involved in the political sphere and register to vote. Rozz is a dedicated teaching artist as well, and has facilitated performing arts residencies in over fifty NYC public schools. Rozz has worked for Learning through an Expanded Arts Program (LEAP) for over ten years teaching in various areas including dance, drama, music, and literacy programs. She is a trained professional dancer with over 27 years of experience. Rozz is also a very accomplished musical theater and acting director having produced over 25 musicals and plays. Rozz has choreographed nine The Possibility Project productions, and has been with the organization since 2003.
