The Pregones Theatre, 575 Walton Avenue, The Bronx
Vivienne’s life was cut short as a youth in foster care, leaving her spirit in limbo, unable to move on. But now, she’s been given a chance to make a difference and redeem herself. Her mission? To help three young people break free from the pain, trauma, and oppression of the foster care system. If she succeeds, her soul will be freed.
As she witnesses their struggles—facing the loss of family, the fight for identity, and the crushing weight of their past—Vivienne is in a race against time. Can she get through to them before it’s too late? Or will she, and they, remain trapped in the shadows forever?
Don’t miss this heart-pounding journey of struggle, hope, and the power of connection. CROSSING OVER is an original musical that will leave you thinking long after the lights go down.
The Possibility Project is proud to present CROSSING OVER, an original musical drama written and performed by a diverse group youth in foster care in NYC. For the past six months, our young people have gathered every Tuesday and Thursday after school to discuss, debate, act, dance, and sing about the most serious issues they face in their lives. Soon, all of their hard work will be put on stage at the Pregones Theater, 575 Walton Avenue in the Bronx. The nearest subway are the 2/5 trains to 149th-Grand Concourse.
